Charter Amendments

The amendment procedure, approval requirements and public record of any changes to the AACC Charter.

Non-Regulatory Notice: The Asian African Cricket Council (AACC) is not a governing authority for cricket. The AACC does not issue binding rules, regulations, sanctions or directives applicable to national cricket boards, leagues, associations, clubs, players or officials. The AACC operates solely as a facilitative, advisory and collaborative institutional platform.

Amendment Procedure — Charter Art XVIII

The AACC Charter may only be amended in accordance with Article XVIII. An amendment requires:

  • Affirmative consent of the Founder & Founding Chairman
  • Affirmative consent of the Founding Secretary General
  • Support of not less than two-thirds of the Governing Council

No amendment may remove or diminish the authority of the Founding Offices, alter the permanence of Founding Offices, or remove Reserved Powers without explicit written consent of both Founding Officers. Any such proposed amendment is null and void.

All amendments are formally recorded by the Secretariat. An amendment does not take effect until certified and entered into the official Charter register.
