Legal Status

The AACC is incorporated as a Section 8 (non-profit) company under the Companies Act, 2013 of India. This legal structure embeds its non-commercial character into its constitutional framework.

Non-Regulatory Notice: The Asian African Cricket Council (AACC) is not a governing authority for cricket. The AACC does not issue binding rules, regulations, sanctions or directives applicable to national cricket boards, leagues, associations, clubs, players or officials. The AACC operates solely as a facilitative, advisory and collaborative institutional platform.

Section 8 Company — Non-Commercial by Law

A Section 8 company under the Companies Act 2013 is a non-profit legal entity incorporated with the specific purpose of promoting commerce, art, science, sports, education, research, social welfare, religion, charity, protection of environment or any such other object. It is prohibited by law from distributing profits to its members.

  • All surpluses must be applied to institutional objectives
